Hope-Western Prison Education Program
The Hope-Western Prison Education Program is an initiative that provides a Christian liberal arts education to incarcerated men at the Muskegon Correctional Facility.
Why a Prison Program?
Higher education has proven positive effects on prisoners, prison culture, and prison systems. The Hope-Western Prison Education Program seeks to renew hearts and minds while transforming the prison, the college, the seminary, and the West Michigan community into places where “righteousness and peace embrace” (Psalm 85:10).
SUPPORT HWPEP
We rely on donations to provide everything needed — professors, books, educational supplies — in order to challenge our students with an outstanding liberal arts curriculum while also focusing on moral rehabilitation and spiritual formation. Thank you so much for your help in making this important and transformative program possible!
